They offer the user the ability to control the power output to their Grow Lamp, which not only protects the lifetime of the lamp but also helps to reduce growing costs.

The ballasts can also be easily adjusted to reduce the output of the lamp when not as much power is needed. So when running a 1000W lamp users can reduce the output to 400w or 600w. Alternatively, increase it to super lumen 1150W to give plants a healthy boost. 

The Omega 1000W Digital Dimmable Ballast runs fairly cool in use, however, users should still place it on a flat surface. To use, simply connect the input lead of your Reflector to the output lead of the ballast. Use the power-output switch to select the desired output wattage.
