Cap 2.0 versus Cap 3.0, What’s the difference in the design? 

The new design may have less louvres (holes – 15 compared to 26), the width of them are wider and flatter to ensure a more even coverage as the taller holes from version 2 was allows more water to gush through and causing channelling in some cases.  
 
The main issue from version 2.0 (as we’ve seen ourselves), meant that if the water dripping into the caps is not fast enough, the water would simply fall into the closest hole and not “pool” high enough to flood into the other holes. Therefore reducing the height and number of caps, allows for a far better coverage.
