The fixture can be used in combination with both HPS and/or LED and serves as a supplement to the standard grow light. The wide, UV resistance reflector makes the fixture suitable for multiple lay-outs. UV lights work best, when they are on for at least 2 to 4 hours a day during the lighting cycle. The fixture can be used with our DLI controllers and therefore can be integrated with all existing DLI installations.
DLI exclusive
This fixture is one of a kind. It uses the DLI exclusive “Solar Noon®” lamp. Dutch Lighting Innovations is the only grow light manufacturer that produces UV-light fixtures able to recreate all the UV-A and UV-B advantages of outside sunlight, in a controlled environment.
Pest Control
There are specific photoreceptors for UV-B and UV-A that plants use to sense and learn about the environment around them and to regulate internal processes based on this information. UV exposure at the right dose manifests in healthier, more resilient plants. Stimulation with UV light increases leaf and cell wall thickness and makes plants less susceptible to bugs and mould. This characteristic of UV light lowers the need for insecticides and fungicides and can also assist in the breakdown of residues that remain on surfaces.
